Who we are

Weight Loss Injections ORG – we abbreviate ourselves WLI – was founded in February 2024 as a volunteer project by Alice J. Brown and Ryan Garcia from the immediate vicinity of the Illinois Medical District. WLI has since been developed on its own alongside Alice and Ryan’s full-time work. Currently, four other guest editors are volunteering their time to help set up, develop and maintain a registry in the largest metropolitan areas.
The effect of tirzepatide and semaglutide on weight loss is not only proven by many success stories but also scientifically. We believe that this form of weight loss therapy will keep us busy for a long time to come. As soon as the links between the GLP-1 treatment methods for type 2 diabetes and obesity became apparent, it was clear to many scientists that this was not just a short-lived weight loss trend, but a real turnaround.
For a long time, sufferers have used various diets and often tried diet pills and other means without success. And for a long time, people suffering from obesity had to wait for an effective medication that could prevent serious surgical interventions in many cases. We now have such a treatment option available in the weight-loss injection. And that can indeed be called a game changer.
The demand for the drugs and related treatments is very high and a very large new industry has grown here in the last 24 months. This also includes many different offers, service providers and producers who want to attract new patients. Time and again, we experience that the situation here is not as clear and transparent as one would hope. Or, quite simply, not all the good options are listed and visible.
For this reason, we pursue the goal of registering and making accessible local providers as fully as possible, but also according to criteria of trustworthiness and seriousness. This process is by no means just a mirror image of an internet search in a different way, but a manual process carried out by real experts and editors. Building a nationwide registry for providers of weight-loss injections is a major undertaking that we are passionate about and take great responsibility for. It will take some time and will likely become a project that is constantly evolving and undergoing change. We believe that this effort is worthwhile and will enrich people’s lives.
How we work
Since we are located right next to Rush University Medical Center and affiliated with Advocate Health Foundation, we can benefit from existing research infrastructure and databases, but we are still independent because we do not belong to any hospital.
Our aim is to list the top ten largest cities in the United States with the services available, adding independent recommendations that have been evaluated according to our transparent criteria. Subsequently, the register is to grow to the largest 100 cities.
Gradually, a transparent and independent overview is to be made available to the majority of the population when it comes to finding reputable service providers for weight loss injections. We are thus closing an important gap in the information education that does not yet exist in this way.
The project is run entirely by the team and arises from the willingness to provide energy, time and costs on a voluntary basis. The relatively low costs for the project are financed by donations and the listing of national offers, for which we rarely but sometimes receive a small commission when a user successfully clicks on the service provider’s website.
WLI is new and will launch its website at the end of the year. In the meantime, we have been investing time and effort for almost a year. If you would like to support us, you are welcome to do so. We would be happy to receive a voluntary donation.
